3 Benefits of The Reverse Pivot Press

The reverse pivot press is a movement to fold into your routine for the following reasons:
.
✅Strategic Variation

Many people only do one or two forms of core training; isometric (think planks) and anti-rotational (think the Pallof press). But the reverse pivot press introduces rotational core work. This type of strength is what allows great athletes to express their strength in many in different planes and across time and space. Sport strength (and real-life strength) requires that you are solid and capable in positions that aren’t fixed (think forward, backward etc). This is a strategic variation that has a high carryover.
.
✅Shoulder Development

This move movement does two things for the shoulder. One, it increases stability. At the top, you must have shoulder integrity to stick the move. On the return, the movement feels like the back-half of an Arnold press which provides nice tension for shoulder hypertrophy.
.
✅Motor Work

Under timed sets in the range of 60–90 seconds, this drill will increase conditioning, body composition and help you build a motor under high-skilled stress. This is a great way to fold multiple training goals into one drill so training economy is boosted.
